Shri Nishad Baakre is one of the foremost torch bearers of the streams in classical music, where both the originality and the creative form go hand in hand.

Gurus

After the early tutelage from father Shri Sadashiv Baakre, he took full-time training from Dr Ram Deshpande for more than 12 years. Shri Baakre has been privileged to learn further from Pt Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt Dinkar Kaikini, Dr Arun Dravid and Pt Madhukar Joshi, Jaipur, Baakre can render the forms of these gharanas in a combination as well as segregated styles, along with the flow of creative exploration.

Milestones

As a winner of numerous awards, right from early age, like “Yuva Puraskar (Kanebua Pratishthan), Surashri Kesarbai Kerkar Scholarship (NCPA), Pt. Annasaheb Ratanjankar puraskar, Gyana Pravah scholarship- Kolkata, Baakre has also performed at many prestigious platforms of India, like the Delhi Classical music festival, Akashwani Sangeet Sammelan-Guwahati, Kashi Vishwanath Residential Sammelan- Varanasi, Khyalyagnya-Pune, Bharatratna Pt Bhimsen Joshi Janmashatabdi sammelan-Dharwad, Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav- Hubli, Bhatkhande Mahotsav at the Dadar Matunga cultural center, the Suburban music circle-Mumbai, Hridayesh Arts- Mumbai, Singapore music circle and many more..

Recently he has awarded by the Pt Ram Marathe Award given by the Thane Municipal Corporation, as the talented artist of younger generation.

With the view of taking this art to the next generation with its pure form, Nishad Baakre has been training numerous young students in Mumbai. He is also appointed as Guru for vocal, at the Aavartan Gurukul, Pune which is run under the patronage of Taalyogi Pt Suresh Talwalkar.

Anant Joshi

Anant Joshi began musical training from father Pt. Achyut Joshi at the tender age 10 and he has committed excellence  in performance by valuable guidance from Pt. Vishwanath Kanhere.

Anant completed graduation in Economics from University of Mumbai. Also achieved SANGEET ALANKAR in harmonium from AKHIL BHARATIYA GANDHARV MAHAVIDYALAY MANDAL, MIRAJ.

Anant Joshi started his career by achieving top ranking almost in all instrumental competitions in Mumbai and Maharashtra and inter collegiate competition of Mumbai university in 1995and 1996.
He was also contingent leader of Mumbai university cultural group for national youth festival and won nation trophy in 1995-96.

Culture Ministry of India Honored Fellowship as an Outstanding Artist of India for the Year 2011-2012

Winner of Best music director award at Maharashtra Rajya Naty Mahotsav in 2015

Thane Municipal Corporation Honored Pt. Ram Marathe  Rajya Yuva Purskar in 2019

Anant Joshi is a graded artist harmonium player  as well as music composer for All India Radio and Doordarshan.

ABHAY PRABHAKAR DATAR

Abhay Prabhakar Datar was born in Mumbai. Since childhood, he had inclination towards Music. He started learning Tabla from his father Shri Prabhakar Datar.  Later on he came under the tutelage of the noted Tabla player Pt. Shri Suresh(Bhai) Gaitonde. After rigorous riyaaz, he became the most sought after Tabla Accompanist for Classical Vocal accompaniment. As his career took a flight, he came in association with the famous Classical Vocalist, Pandit Yashwant Bua Joshi of Gwalior Gharana which was another feather in his cap. His association with Bua went on for almost two and half decades wherein he mastered the art of Accompaniment and Grabbed the nuances of classical Gayaki.
He has accompanied almost all the noted Vocalists of our country in prestigious concerts.. Pt. Yashwant Bua Joshi,  Pt. Babanrao Haldankar, Vidushi Shruti Sadolikar Kaatkar, Dr. Ram Deshpande,  Devaki Pandit , Shounak Abhisheki ,Vidushi Shashwati Mandal,Apurva Gokhale  and maby more.He has travelled extensively in India and abroad. He has several CDs, and records to his credit. He has regularly performed for Doordarshan and other Television channels.  It needs a special mention that he has attained all this by giving a committed and dedicated service to Mumbai university’s Music Department since last 30 years.
