Oscar Tang Family Distinguished Professor of East Asian Studies at Duke University. He is an avid listener and student of Hindustani classical music.

Sangita Davé, Treasurer
Sangita is very passionate about music and has actively participated in
Music and Dance since childhood. She is trained in Kathak dance and has been learning light & semi classical music from different Gurus in USA and India.
In 2014 she sponsored Rajesh Panwar’s group from India to conduct
performances in USA from 2014 to 2017. To help support upcoming artists she formed Kailasa Foundation, a nonprofit organization. It was named after her Father Kailash Chandra Trivedi, who himself was a music lover and supporter. She moved to North Carolina in 2016. Prior to that she was in upstate NY for about 25 years.

Vidya Chatterjee, President
Vidya Chatterjee has great organizing skills and has held several public events in Cary.
She is passionate about spreading Indian culture among the young ones. Her husband and she are enthusiastic about classical Indian music and dance and have jointly nurtured their propagation through several public events.

Ananya Chakraborty Gupta, Communications
Ananya started her journey with Hindustan Classical Music and Dance at the age of 5. She has since performed widely as a vocalist, including for All India Radio, Doordarshan, NC Raga Revival and the Bengali Association of NC. She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature and post graduate degrees in English Literature, TESL, Educational Leadership, Fine Arts and Music (RU, UIUC, UNCC, and UoL UCL IOE). She is a MLL Coordinator by profession, and resides in Apex.
